[There's an even longer pause this time, as Corbin sorts through what Vax is telling him, and then through how it makes him feel. Because hoo boy, well that's... a lot.]
[He realizes after a second that he hasn't said anything yet, and he really should do that.]
Alright. Well. Thanks for telling me.
[The eventually is unsaid, but is actually pretty damn loud for a silent word]
[Corbin is just genuinely confused. He's definitely not against violence, but he doesn't think that's the answer here. It sounds like Vax had gone through some rough shit, and while Corbin was feeling... some kind of not great about the results, it didn't mean he wanted to punch the other guy.]
I dunno. Cause I did a shitty thing to you. I hear it helps sometimes.
I punched a guy who did something shitty once. [Percy one hundred percent deserved it, too, for getting his sister killed. Her getting better was why it was only a punch.]
Not really. I mean...not unless it helped you somehow.
Listen, the only time I did this it was to someone who got my sister killed, and he deserved it, but I didn't actually feel better. So I don't actually know how it's supposed to work.
[He kind of wanted to get a bottle of something and go somewhere quiet and well... why not? There's a sound of him shifting and pulling a shirt on, then of a door opening and closing. The sound doesn't move away, he's bringing the tome with him, just in case Vax wants to keep talking, but he doesn't want to stay in his room right now.]
Edited (Edited to clarify that Corbin wasn't leaving) 2019-09-01 20:25 (UTC)
[Kinda hating himself, and feeling worse for knowing it's completely a consequence of his own shitty actions, Vax will shut his tome and let Corbin on his way.]

I'm really sorry.
You can punch me in the face or something if it would help. [He knows he fucked up, and is kind of desperate to make it right.]

Do... do you think it would make you feel better? If I got pissed off and punched you in the face?

[He sighs]
I don't know what to do either.

[He can hear the moving around a little and winces.] I can...just leave you alone, if that's what you want.

[he sighs again]
You could tell me if anyone round here sells moonshine. Or maybe some weed.
[A small pause.]
I ain't pissed Vax. I just... need to think about it.

That's fair, I guess. I'm...sorry, again. I guess all I can really say for myself is to keep apologizing.

Alright. I... think I'll talk to you later, okay?
