"Didn't say yeh were lyin," Harry says queitly. He thinks maybe Corbin might be telling him what he wants to hear. He's done it himself, because it's easier than arguing. He's starting to realize that maybe it's a dick move.
But he listens to what Corbin says, even pays attention even if his instincts are telling him he should cut his losses and run (even though there are no losses here, Harry). Corbin wanted to be sure, it's not dissimilar to what Caleb said, that he could not be sure, that he did not want to say anything untrue until he was.
He's gonna doubt anyway, that's just how insecurities work. But. He smiles back at Corbin, small and soft and unsure.
