Corbin spends a lot of time thinking about the other worlds he's heard of and what it might be like if he somehow was able to follow one of them home. Or if they could follow him home. He thinks about introducing Harry, or Caleb, or Miss Glinda, or Peony to his parents, of getting to see what their homes were really like, and how he might fit into their lives, or them into his. Not that he wants to leave his home and his family, and he's sure they don't want to leave theirs. But it's interesting to think about sometimes, at least until it makes him sad that he can't, that some day they're going to leave and forget about him, or that he'll leave and forget about them.
It's harder to fall here, and he scrambles around til he gets to a good spot, there's a chimney nearby putting out some smoke, and the brick of it is warm to the touch. The view faces over the gardens and the town and the Wilds beyond in a direction that, if they were to stay up here, would give a spectacular view of the sunset in the orange sky. "Here we are. I think the chimney's for the kitchens, it's always bein used and it's nice and warm if you ever come up here in winter." Not as warm as being inside, but it was still nice.
